James Pasakos is a Melbourne artist who features images
of the Melbourne Docklands and Port Philip Bay in his
art works. His childhood was largely spent around these
areas and these images are reflected within his work.
Over the years he has had numerous solo and group
exhibitions in Australia.
James’ methods at University
were in Printmaking. Since then he has explored new
mediums and techniques and his work in mixed media
developed. At the time these works can be seen as
surreal and atmospheric.
They are rich in colour and evoke a sense of mystery.
They can be quite dark that bring a personal insight of
James’ journey continues into new directions. He is
exploring new themes and mediums. The new works
are challenging and provoke a deeper inner self
of James Pasakos.
James currently is a Fine Art Lecturer at the University
of Ballarat Arts Academy.
